We simply couldn’t wait to try this one,

so no sooner had it reached optimum chilling temperature, we seized the moment…

Presented in the sleek house style you know and love, its label is clear and classily coloured deep blue to assist you in your choice. Its dark tones lend a certain gravitas, enhanced by a black neck band.

Ooohh! It’s got a double foil top! Is it meant to? Is it a lucky one?

The capsule is nice, it’s pearly-grey and, look! There’s an absolutely h-u-g-e cork, come on my son, pop it, you’re taking ages to come out!

Pop! Let’s rock… aroma first: very fruity with roses and white berries whirling round and becoming redcurrants, melon and clementine, very strong aromas are bursting forth here, it’s like stepping into a posh hotel reception, my how we feel at home with this!

It’s taste is tantalising, carried by a fine mousse that at first, you get the fizz from, then comes the flavour and what a refreshing finish it leaves. More please! Now we’re getting black cherry and big ripe ones at that. There’s such a flavour-packed punch with this Champagne and its distinctive sweetness is not cloying but rich and full.

Flavour verily bursts forth and makes this a delightful tipple that overflows with taste discoveries. As it develops, it becomes poached pears, not just the flavour but also the substance, or as one taster noted: those chewy liquorice bars you get at the health food shop. Spot on!

Stand back, there’s more flavour coming…carrot, pomegranate and blueberry – on toast! After drinking this, we feel very pleased with the world indeed. - KT
