Joseph Perrier Vintage Champagne 1990A special occasion, a special Champagneand we simply could not have chosen better – all praise to our MD for this exquisite choice. This Champagne goes straight to the Hall of Fame for so many reasons and it's one we fell immediately in love with.The bottle itself is so beautiful, it sets the tone for the glories within. And what a surprising capsule: bright orange! You'll see it straight away on our champagne capsule page, it's so distinctive and really stands out. Pouring it into the glass, it’s the colour of dark, burnished gold with a strong, fruity aroma and you can tell its an aged Champagne through this alone, plus, it's not overly fizzy, just mildly perky, which is perfect, as it's as if the Champagne just doesn’t need to show off, it knows it is good. To taste – there's so many flavours: "crazy!" our MD commented and it certainly is, here goes... you get plump raisins soaked in brandy, muscovado sugar, cinnamon, mince pies and slow-baked lemons, it’s fleshy mangoes, it’s allspice – it's amazing!
