The stuff of miracles, is this... it was raining all afternoon, however, as soon as we opened the Mercier, the sun came out! And, it must be noted, the cork burst out and popped up to the ceiling too – oops!
Pale gold in colour, fine of mousse and biscuity of aroma, this Mercier Champagne was a popular choice with all present. It had strong echoes of strawberries, so much so that one taster said they were "picking bits of seeds out of their teeth" – we’re nothing if not classy here at Libation! Add apples to the mix and you virtually feel as if you are getting one of your Five A Day by glugging this!
Champagne Grape Blend:10-15% Chardonnay, 45-50% Pinot Noir, 40% Pinot Meunier
